Day 10 saw tournament leaders Takayasu and Atamifuji meet (for the first time in their careers). The bout between the 33-year-old former ozeki and the 21-year-old making only his second makuuchi appearance was fascinating. And the winner is now in pole position to take the Emperor’s Cup (still some chasers who could have a say in that, though).
